The abuse of drugs is an international
problem from which no race or culture
is immune

 
The deleterious effects of foster care can be
prevented by showing at-risk parents where
to go from help.

 
Homelessness cuts across racial and
ethnic lines.  It can affect anyone.

 
Domestic violence affects women and men,
and like drugs and homelessness, cuts
across racial, ethnic and social lines.

 
The central causative agent for the various social ills that
plague African Americans is racism that years of social
advancement has not yet been able to erase.  The real
elimination of anti-black racism must start with what
caused it in the first place.

Victims of immigration fraud are also victimized
by their governments.  While many victims are
native to countries where the fraudsters seek
residence, victims can also be legal residents
or naturalized citizens.

 
Unemployment is very high, but it is
disproportionately high among African American men.

Police brutality, the wanton use of excessive force
against innocent people, is an unfortunate social
phenomenon of which a disproportionate percentage
of the victims are African American men.  The
unwarrnted detainment and of frisking  of African
American men is second-nature, especially in big cities
like New York
